ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an Administrator/Operations Support staff. They will be of the Christian
faith, disciplined, accountable, teachable, hard-working, fun-loving, initiative-taking, and self-
motivated. We are also looking for a person of integrity, honesty, and commitment. Broadly speaking,
this is a part-time role which involves working with the Senior Pastors/Directors and the Trustees of
Glory Worship Church and the Corner Stone Hub. In the light of the above, the successful candidate
will effectively and efficiently create/implement and professionally deliver day-to-day operational and
administrative processes that wholeheartedly support and excellently deliver the aims, goals, and
objectives of the organisations per time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Delivering qualitative day-to-day operational, secretarial/administrative, diary management and
receptionist services as required. This will include (but is not limited to); In-person reception
services, making/responding to service calls, promptly sending/responding to service emails,
office documents filing/systematic electronic storage of documents, ensuring diverse
procurement and service stock management, first-time worshippers and general audience
relationship/contact management (on a weekly/monthly note, collaborating with the ushers of
the Church), events management (where applicable), social media handles management (where
applicable), kitchen management (when required), delivering food bank services (when available),
and keeping the Senior Pastors/Directors of the organisation updated per time on service
requirements (as required).
• Managing gift aid compilation, processing, and documentation.
• Responsible for applying for charitable grants and funds as well as planning, organising, delivering
proposed events, reporting concluded activities to funding sources and maintaining all related
data for the Church.• Managing the Church’s accounts/income & expenditure data per time as well as observing bank
statements reconciliation and recording needed information for accounting/auditing purposes.
• Weekly conducting & recording fire alarm tests as well as keeping an eye on other applicable
aspects of health & safety standards.
• Ensuring that administrative and operational procedures/controls in line with organisational and
government requirements are being always and promptly adhered to (e.g., policy documentation,
HMRC liaison, Charity Commissions liaison, Liverpool City Council liaison, etc taking into
cognisance the aspects of covering such areas as well for the Manchester Branch of the Church).
This will include the effective and efficient management of letters received/sent.
• Ensuring a clean and tidy organisational space whilst adhering to standard waste management
processes. This will include liaising with the Bin collection agency.
• Keeping/promoting a positive image of the organisations and maintaining high standards of
performance and professionalism at all times.
• Maintaining high standards of confidentiality (in line with DPA & GDPR principles).
• Responsible and quick to identify areas for continuous self as well role improvement.
• Keeping office keys safely and managing access to the Church as required.
• Acting reliably and ensuring that any other daily administrative duties are excellently delivered as
required by Managing Line/Board of Trustees.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient IT, literacy and numeracy skills cutting across intranet, internet, and Microsoft Office
provisions.
• Qualitative ability to manage time, plan, organise and prioritise tasks, meeting, and exceeding
targets/deadlines.
• A team player who is at the same time self-motivated and positively driven.
• Always meticulous, paying keen attention to details.
• Proactive in identifying areas for improvement within role and ability to think outside the box.
• High and consistent display of confidentiality, observing GDPR principles.
• High consistent level of punctuality and regularity.
